Microenvironmental Cooling
Pol-Air’s B310 is a true microenvironmental air-chiller. By microenvironmental cooling we mean we cool and dry the one inch of airspace immediately surrounding each passenger, not the entire cabin. This gives truly effective personal cooling for up to four passengers from the nozzle placed at the front edge of each seat and/or under your shirt. These feather-weight tubes blow cool dry air to the trunk, neck, and face of the user. Each nozzle is held in place using a Pol-Air propriety ‘seat slide’ and may be stored beneath the seat when not in use. The tubes can also be inserted directly under a shirt without the ‘seat slide’
enabling a person some mobility for other application than small aircraft.
Conventional air conditioners cool the entire space. To properly cool the ‘average’ 650ft small aircraft from 100ºF to 70ºF, you would need 275 lbs of ice. We do not cool your baggage compartment, or a corner of your aircraft. We cool and dry you. And we do that with only 25 to 35 lbs of ice!
The inobtrusive B310 straps into the cargo area of small aircraft and sends up to four hoses forward for personal cooling of up to four passengers. One to four hoses may be used simultaneously.
For other microenvironmental cooling applications, this B310 unit can easily be mounted onto a set of wheels, such as a small hand cart or a golf bag pull cart. Just attach the power cord directly to a motorcycle battery. This gives tremendous personal freedom and many more applications away from conventional power sources.
